These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of carylshuham.com (the “Site”), operated by the Caryl Shuham Campaign (“the Campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Use of the Site

The Site is provided for informational purposes about the campaign to elect Caryl Shuham to the Broward County Commission, District 6. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use of the Site by, anyone else. You agree not to:

• Use the Site in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any related systems;
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or the networks connected to it;
• Use any automated means to scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Site without our permission;
• Transmit any malware or any unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content.

Contributions

Contributions made through the Site are processed by a third-party payment processor and are governed by that processor’s terms in addition to these Terms. By making a contribution, you certify that:

• The contribution is made from your own funds and in your own name, and is not made from the funds of, or reimbursed by, another person or entity;
• You are using a payment method that you are legally authorized to use;
• You are eligible to make the contribution under all applicable laws, and the contribution does not exceed any applicable legal limit;
• The contribution is not from a prohibited source, including any foreign national who lacks lawful permanent resident status where such contributions are prohibited.

Contributions to the Campaign are not tax-deductible for federal or state income tax purposes. If you believe a contribution was made in error, please contact us using the information below.

Intellectual Property

The content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, and design — is owned by or licensed to the Campaign and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Site’s content for commercial purposes, or in a way that suggests endorsement, without our prior written permission.

Information You Submit

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit through the Site. By submitting information, you grant the Campaign permission to use it for campaign purposes as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not submit information that is false, that you do not have the right to share, or that belongs to someone else without their permission.

Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control, including our payment processor and social media platforms. We provide these links for convenience and are not responsible for the content, products, services, or practices of any third party. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Campaign and its officers, staff, volunteers, and vendors from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after any change indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
